A sweet baby pink, Sugar is a must-have BIAB™ for your nail set. It's back due to popular demand, originally introduced in the 12 Days of BIAB™ collection (formerly Sugar Rush!). Look pretty in pink, but with a touch of extra sparkle, as the white and silver glitters catch the light. It must be BIAB™ — the only builder gel everyone wants.
Builder in a Bottle™, BIAB™ and Cover Nude Builders are a range of soak-off gel builders ideal for strengthening natural nails. In addition, it improves and strengthens the quality of natural nails. Like Rubber Base, BIAB™ increases the flexibility of nails, meaning nails break much less easily. BIAB™ is available in various nude colours but also in warmer, more highly pigmented colours.
The unique thing about BIAB™ is that no base or primer is needed underneath because it contains a primer in its formula.
Because BIAB™ already contains a primer, you need fewer products during the treatment and can work faster. Remember, if it's not TGB, it's not BIAB™.
PLEASE NOTE!! This BIAB™
requires a very thin slip layer of The Gelbottle clear rubber base.
This BIAB™ contains less primer to prevent yellowing.
How to apply TGB BIAB™: step-by-step
Step 1: Nail preparation
* Disinfect your hands and your client's hands.
* Push back the cuticles with a cuticle pusher and trim excess with cuticle nippers. Optional: use an e-file with a flame bit to remove dead skin.
* File the nails into the desired shape with a BY FAY 120/180 file.
* Gently buff the nails with a TGB 100/180 buffer to remove shine. This can also be done with an e-file and mandrel bit.
* Degrease and cleanse the nail plate with Klear Velvet Scrub or Klear Acetone.
Step 2: First layer
* Apply a thin layer of Rubber Base or Bond Base to the prepared natural nail.
* Cure the base coat for 99 seconds on the low heat setting of the TGB lamp.
Are you treating a client with a confirmed HEMA allergy? Then use a completely HEMA-free system: Bond Base, Glow Top and our HEMA-free gel range.
Step 3: Second layer
* Apply a medium-sized layer of TGB BIAB™. Spread the layer from left to right and pull it away from the cuticle. Avoid a thick layer around the free edge.
* Build up the layer and cure one nail at a time. Turn the hand to create the apex.
* Cure the nail for 99 seconds.
Step 4: Third layer (optional)
* Apply a second medium-sized layer of TGB BIAB™ in the same way as step 3.
* Cure the nail for 99 seconds.
Step 5: Refine
* Remove the sticky layer with Klear Don't Be Tacky.
* Refine the nail with a BY FAY 120/180 file.
* Buff the nail into shape with a TGB 100/180 buffer. Focus on reducing product around the cuticle and free edge.
* Remove dust with a dust brush and wipe the nail with Klear Velvet Scrub or Klear Isopropanol.
Step 6: Topcoat
* Do you want to finish the nails with TGB Gel Colour? Then follow the steps for applying TGB Gel Polish.
* Apply your chosen TGB Top Coat and cure for 60 seconds.
* Apply a small amount of StraDerm Nail & Cuticle Treatment or TGB Cuticle Essence to each cuticle. Avoid contact with the nail to prevent dullness of the top coat.
How to remove BIAB™: step-by-step
Step 1: Preparation
* Disinfect your hands and your client's hands.
Step 2: Remove topcoat
* Remove the topcoat with a 120/180 file or with an e-file using the BY FAY Cylindrical Safety Bit Medium.
Step 3: Soaking
* Soak the TGB Removal Foil in Klear The Fast and Soakable and wrap it tightly around each nail.
* Leave to soak for 10 to 15 minutes. The exact soaking time depends on the thickness of the remaining product.
Step 4: Remove gel
* Remove the foil from one nail at a time, leaving the other nails wrapped.
* Use the pusher part of an orange wood stick to gently slide off the gel. Do not force the gel off.
* Is the gel still stuck? Rewrap the nail and leave to soak for another 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat if necessary.
* Remove any residue with the pusher part of the TGB ProPrep tool.
* Support the client's free edge with your finger during removal to prevent bending or breaking of the nail.
Step 5: Buff and care
* The entire product can also be removed with an e-file and the BY FAY Cylindrical Safety Bit Medium, without soaking. Work carefully and systematically, from the free edge towards the cuticle, ensuring you protect the natural nail at all times.
* If a thin layer of base coat or BIAB™ remains after e-filing, gently buff it away with a TGB 100/180 buffer. Concentrate on the areas around the cuticles and avoid over-buffing the natural nail.
* After removing all product residue, apply a generous amount of StraDerm Nail & Cuticle Treatment or TGB Cuticle Essence.
