Shimmering grey BIAB™ nails are a match for any outfit. Try this royal-worthy shade, inspired by the limited edition Oh Deer builder gel. Leave it as a subtle shimmer or use it as a base for nail art.
Builder in a Bottle™, BIAB™ and Cover Nude Builders are a range of soak-off gel builders ideal for strengthening natural nails. In addition, they improve and enhance the quality of natural nails. Like Rubber Base, BIAB™ increases the flexibility of the nails, meaning nails are much less likely to break. BIAB™ is available in various nude colours, as well as warmer, highly pigmented colours.
The unique thing about BIAB™ is that no base or primer is needed underneath as it contains a primer in its formula.
Because BIAB™ already contains a primer, you need fewer products during the treatment and can work faster. Remember, if it's not TGB, it's not BIAB™.
PLEASE NOTE!! This BIAB™
requires a very thin coat of The Gelbottle clear rubber base.
This BIAB™ contains less primer to prevent yellowing.
How to apply TGB BIAB™: step-by-step
Step 1: Nail preparation
* Disinfect your and your client's hands.
* Push back the cuticles with a cuticle pusher and trim excess with cuticle nippers. Optional: use an e-file with a flame bit to remove dead skin.
* File nails into desired shape with a BY FAY 120/180 file.
* Gently buff the nails with a TGB 100/180 buffer to remove shine. This can also be done with an e-file and mandrel bit.
* Degrease and cleanse the nail plate with Klear Velvet Scrub or Klear Acetone.
Step 2: First coat
* Apply a thin coat of Rubber Base or Bond Base to the prepared natural nail.
* Cure the basecoat for 99 seconds on the low heat setting of the TGB lamp.
Are you treating a client with a confirmed HEMA allergy? Then use a completely HEMA-free system: Bond Base, Glow Top and our HEMA-free gel range.
Step 3: Second coat
* Apply a medium coat of TGB BIAB™. Distribute the coat from left to right, pulling it away from the cuticle. Avoid a thick coat around the free edge.
* Build up the coat and cure one nail at a time. Turn the hand to create the apex.
* Cure the nail for 99 seconds.
Step 4: Third coat (optional)
* Apply a second medium coat of TGB BIAB™ in the same way as step 3.
* Cure the nail for 99 seconds.
Step 5: Refine
* Remove the sticky layer with Klear Don't Be Tacky.
* Refine the nail with a BY FAY 120/180 file.
* Buff the nail into shape with a TGB 100/180 buffer. Concentrate on reducing product around the cuticle and free edge.
* Remove dust with a dust brush and wipe the nail with Klear Velvet Scrub or Klear Isopropanol.
Step 6: Topcoat
* Do you want to finish the nails with TGB Gel Colour? Then follow the steps for applying TGB Gel Polish.
* Apply your chosen TGB Top Coat and cure for 60 seconds.
* Apply a small amount of StraDerm Nail & Cuticle Treatment or TGB Cuticle Essence to each cuticle. Avoid contact with the nail to prevent dulling of the topcoat.
Removing BIAB™: step-by-step
Step 1: Preparation
* Disinfect your and your client's hands.
Step 2: Remove topcoat
* Remove the topcoat with a 120/180 file or with an e-file with the BY FAY Cylindrical Safety Bit Medium.
Step 3: Soak off
* Soak the TGB Removal Foil in Klear The Fast and Soakable and wrap it tightly around each nail.
* Allow to soak for 10 to 15 minutes. The exact soaking time depends on the thickness of the remaining product.
Step 4: Remove gel
* Remove the foil from one nail at a time, keeping the other nails wrapped.
* Use the pusher end of a cuticle pusher to gently slide off the gel. Do not force the gel off.
* Is the gel still stuck? Re-wrap the nail and allow to soak for another 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat if necessary.
* Remove any residue with the pusher end of the TGB ProPrep tool.
* Support the client's free edge with your finger during removal to prevent bending or breaking of the nail.
Step 5: Buff and care
* The entire product can also be removed with an e-file and the BY FAY Cylindrical Safety Bit Medium, without soaking. Work carefully and systematically, from the free edge towards the cuticle, ensuring you always protect the natural nail.
* Is there a thin layer of basecoat or BIAB™ left after filing? Gently buff it away with a TGB 100/180 buffer. Concentrate on the areas around the cuticles and avoid over-buffing the natural nail.
* After removing all product residue, apply a generous amount of StraDerm Nail & Cuticle Treatment or TGB Cuticle Essence.
