Applications with the dermapen
The dermapen has small vibrating needles that damage the skin very slightly, so that a natural healing process is initiated. The stimulation in the connective tissue releases growth and healing factors, which ensure the production of collagen and elastin (connective tissue). The dermapen is suitable for the following indications, among others:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Skin aging
- Acne scars
- Scars of a different nature
- Sun damage
- Pigmentation disorder
- Large pores/ coarse skin structure
- Stretch marks / stretch marks
The treatment
The dermapen contains small needles that damage the skin and thereby stimulate a number of natural healing processes. The production of new connective tissue is a gradual process that takes place under the top layer of the skin. Improvement will only be visible after a few weeks.
Contraindications:
- Pregnancy
- Irritated/inflamed skin (infection)
- Sunburn (only treat after 3 weeks of recovery)! While using hydrocortisone
- Extreme rosacea and/or rosacea
- Skin cancer
- During medical treatments (chemotherapy)! Open wounds
- Raised moles
- Warts
- Eczema
- Active acne
- Herpes Simplex
Result
After a number of treatments with the dermapen, the skin will be firmer and smoother, resulting in an even and radiant skin complexion. Skin imperfections such as wrinkles and acne will gradually fade. Because the skin renews itself, disturbances in the pigment will also reduce (pigment spots, age spots and sun damage). Depending on the type of skin surface and the type of treatment, the skin will look pink/red. The skin may also feel tingling and warm. These symptoms will subside after a day. Two to three days after the treatment, the skin may look redder than normal. You can simply resume your daily activities; the skin reaction is generally hardly noticeable to those around you. That is also one of the advantages of the Dermapen: the treatment is gentle on the upper layer of the skin.
Due to accelerated cell division, your skin may also flake slightly, causing the dead skin cells to peel off. This is a favorable reaction that occurs due to the treatment with the Dermapen. It is necessary to protect the skin well with a factor of 30 and to apply a serum to the treated area in the following days.
What can I expect immediately after the treatment?
After the treatment the skin looks red. The skin may feel warm and irritated or chapped. Blood spots or small bruises may also be visible. If necessary, you can cool the skin with a cool pack or cold compresses. Any redness, blood spots and swelling will disappear within 1-4 days after the treatment. The skin may start to flake in the first week after treatment. This is a normal process and beautiful new skin will appear below. If the skin does not flake, this does not mean that the Dermapen treatment has had no effect.
You can do your daily care immediately after the treatment.
No make-up or perfume for at least the first 8 hours.
No sauna/swimming pool, etc. for at least the first 24 hours.
Avoid sun for at least the first 2 weeks and wear at least SPF 30 (sun protection).
For the first 2 weeks, absolutely do not scrub or do anything rough with the skin.
Do not laser for 14 days before or after.
Do not use oil products.
